Countdown MODE
Guide your reading sessions by setting the countdown timer for your reading goal as it is assigned and read until the alarm sounds. You're in control of getting your reading done and you don't have to ask your parents, "Am I done yet?"

• Press MODE to select countdown timing (arrow should be displayed in downward direction)
• Timer must be stopped to set time
• To set minute goal, repeatedly press MINS until the desired time appears
• To set hour goal, repeatedly press HRS
• Press START/STOP to begin countdown timing. (Colon will flash to indicate timer is working.)
• Once countdown timer reaches 00:00 an alarm will sound for 30 seconds
• Once stopped, timer can be reset to 00:00 by pressing HRS and MINS buttons simultaneously. (Use RESET to correct mistakes.)

Count Up/Cumulative MODE
If you like to read anytime and anywhere (or if you just like to get a few minutes in during free time), make sure the mark-my-time digital bookmark is in your favorite book or magazine. Start and stop the timer during each reading session and watch how fast your minutes add up every day. Soon you'll see that reading ten minutes three times a day gets you to a goal of 30 minutes of total reading every day. Count up mode is great for running a weekly or monthly total. It can operate at the same time as the count down mode! Don't forget to log your reading and restart the timer once you're done reading.

• Press MODE to select count up/cumulative timing (arrow should be displayed in upward direction)
• Press START/STOP to start the timer  (Colon will flash to indicate timer is working.)
• Press START/STOP again to stop the timer.
• Once stopped, timer can be reset to 00:00 by pressing HRS and MINS button simultaneously

Clock MODE

• Press MODE to select AM/PM display. (Time of day will be displayed.)
• To set CLOCK, press and hold MODE key until all four digits flash.
• Press HRS key to change hour and MINS key to change minutes.
• Clock is in the 12-hour mode with AM and PM icons.
• Once time is set, press MODE key to exit SETUP mode.

To Replace the Battery
Slide cover in the direction of the arrow located on the cover to expose battery.  Replace with one LR1130 or equivalent.
